Local School DFYIT Organization

Each school shall form its own student advisory board under the direction of the principal.  (Copy of suggested By-laws attached. Exhibit A)  Each school should have representatives from every grade level who have exhibited leadership ability.  The principal and/or counselor work closely with the student board.

Each student board elects officers.  The presidents of each board also serve as members of the overall community DFYIT Student Advisory Committee.  This group has the primary responsibility for assisting in administering the DFYIT program in all the participating schools within the School District.

Members of the Student Advisory Committee (Presidents form each school) work closely with an Adult Advisory Board to publicize the DFYIT program and make public announcements.   D- FY-IT banners, posters, bumper stickers, and tee-shirts can be distributed to help publicize the program.
